I finished this in two sittings, which almost never happens for me with memoirs. What stayed with me was how she writes about the morning of December 14, 2012 — ordinary details like breakfast and a rushed goodbye, then everything after. It's heavy, but it's not a book that leaves you in the dark.

I expected to cry through this, but what stuck with me was how much of the book is about choosing love after loss rather than just the loss itself. The December 14, 2012 timeline is handled with such care that I had to put it down a few times just to breathe.

I finished this memoir in two sittings, which surprised me given how heavy the subject matter is. What stayed with me was how the narrative moves from that December morning into the idea of choosing love over anger, without ever feeling preachy about it.
